Festival Days

New Buddha Way celebrates the two main international Buddhist festivals. One is Wesak, which takes place in May and is the principal annual celebration of ‘Southern Buddhism’ (Theravada) and the other is Bodhi Day, which takes place in December and is the principal annual celebration of ‘Northern Buddhism’ (Mahayana).

Bring your family and children to our free Festivals, and share a vegetarian lunch with us. There are children’s activities, music, folk songs, poetry, a short film and good company. You don’t have to be a vegetarian to join in! Recent beginners very welcome but sorry no pets allowed.
